We walk every year at Sherwood Island because we know that with every step, we are saving lives. The research done by the American Heart Association has helped to keep Parker alive.We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.

You can also write a check in any amount to the American Heart Association. For writing a check, there are three options:

1.    Hand it to the AHA staff on-site if you plan on attending the walk

2.    Mail it to: American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060

Please make sure to include “Gwen & Parker Ackley, 2026 Fairfield Heart Walk” in the memo line field so that we can get credited properly or:

3.    You can download the Heart Walk mobile app and deposit a check similar to banking apps

For cash, we can hand it in to AHA staff at the Heart Walk and they will process it after the event. (If we collect cash before the event, then we will make a lump sum donation with our own credit card to our fundraising page.)
