Hi I'm Aditya, 14 year old, freshman in high school. I was born with two extra small holes in my heart, though I was never symptomatic growing up. Then last year doctors discovered that I had an aneurysm in my aorta, and it had sprung a leak! That was one hole too many, and I underwent open-heart surgery last June 9th. Thanks to the amazing doctors at Boston Children's Hospital, I have made a full recovery and now have even better cardio metabolism than before.
Because of this experience I've learned to appreciate just what critical work the American Heart Association does - this is one cause that is ... close to my heart? (sorry, couldn't resist!). And besides being grateful, I've decided to act - I am trying hard to raise funds for the AHA and plan to put all my heart (!) and soul into the effort
On May 30 of this year my family and I will walk in the 2026 Central Massachusetts Heart & Stroke Walk. Our team is called the Rogue Walkers, and we are actively raising funds for the AHA. My team's goal is raise at least $10,000 in the next 10 days.
Every dollar donated means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research, and more lifesaving moments for other patients like me and for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Please, please help me reach my goal by donating to my team today
