Why I Walk: In Memory, In Hope, In Action
This is my third year walking with the American Heart Association. In the past I walked for family members. This year, I sadly add my friend Louis to that list. I walk in memory of them, and for all those who suffer from heart disease. Their stories are woven into my own, and their courage inspires me every day to take action—so that others may have more time, more hope, and more heartbeats.
Heart disease has touched my family deeply. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges, the strength, and the love that comes with fighting this illness. Losing my friend reminded me that heart disease doesn’t discriminate—it affects families, friends, and communities everywhere.
I walk not only for those I’ve lost, but for the countless others who can benefit from lifesaving research, education, and support. Every dollar donated means more people can be trained in CPR, more breakthroughs in research, and more moments saved for families everywhere. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Please help me reach my goal today.
Thank you for supporting my journey and for helping create a future where heart disease is no longer a threat to the people we love.
