We walk for our granddaughter, Sadie Hope Conway - Sadie is our HEART WARRIOR! She and her twin sister, Skylar, were born on July 23, 2020.  Sadie was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect when we were just 20 weeks pregnant. Sadie was born 6 weeks premature and spent 29 days in the NICU. It was there that Sadie’s diagnosis was confirmed by Dr. Karen Lurito of Geisinger Pediatric Cardiology as having Double-Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV)with a ventricular septal defect. At 2 months old, Sadie was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where she successfully underwent open heart surgery to repair her heart. She will need a second open heart surgery in the future but for now Sadie is living a fun, busy, toddler life to the VERY fullest along side her twin sister!
