Join me in supporting the American Heart Association in being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.
My father suffered the first of a series of heart attacks in 1994. My family was lucky that due to good medical treatment, he went on to live a long and fulfilling life for another 16 years.
Many people do not receive the good fortune of living through the disease as long as my dad did and I am beyond grateful to AHA for helping keep my dad around so he could walk me down the aisle at my wedding, the last time I saw him before heart disease took his life.
My dad was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and all that he touched have AHA to thank for giving him so much extra time on this planet.
Money raised at the Heart Walk improves patient care, funds lifesaving research, and educates adults and children at risk for developing cardiovascular disease.
Join me in (re)committing to your health, helping keep my dad's memory alive, and in supporting AHA's critical mission that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
With heart,
Ella
