My Why is my family. When you grow up having a family history of cardiovascular disease you are always worried that someone may die from a heart attack or stroke. You also worry that if that does occur, would others know what to do to help them?  That is why I am so excited to announce that I am participating in the 2026 Maine Heart walk by the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association is the leading organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Whether that’s providing funding for researcher on cardiovascular disease and stroke or training over 22 million people in life saving CPR. They do all this work just through donations and volunteers.
