This is my annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association. Most of my friends who are past donors know my story. I suffered cardiac arrest on Good Friday, 2012, at Golds Gym. I was revived by a Poughkeepsie firefighter and EMT, Brian Ineson, who was working out next to me. After a quintuple bypass (on Friday the 13th) and a tough recovery, I have been doing this since being honored by the AHA the following year.

I've been fortunate to be supported by my Coast Guard Academy classmates and alumni, my college football officiating brothers, teachers and students I've encountered during my 52 years as an educator, and my St. John's doctoral cohort. I truly have been blessed!!
