I’m walking in this year’s Heart Walk for someone who means so much to me—my friend, mentor, former supervisor, and truly one of the most selfless people I know. Last year, they received a heart transplant, and watching their strength and resilience through it all has been incredibly moving. This is my small way of showing up for them and for others who may one day need that same second chance.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields, and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research, and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
If you’re able, I’d really appreciate your support—whether that’s donating or just cheering us on. â¤ï¸
I Walk to Save Lives. Help me reach my goal today.
