I walk to honor my Dad, my cousin Andrea Williams, and my Uncle Dick.

My Dad dealt with AFib for many years and had emergency open heart surgery in 2023. We lost him to heart failure on October 22, 2024. We lost my cousin Andrea to sudden cardiac arrest in August of 2025. Her dad, my Uncle Dick, survived multiple strokes throughout his life and passed in 2017.

I'm walking to honor those we've lost, and celebrate all of the survivors young and old I had the honor of working with during my time at AHA. Without continung to fund research that will improve lives, families like mine will continue to lose their loved ones.

I walk because I know that with every step, I'm making a difference in someone's life. And when combined with a million other Heart Walk & Run Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke. Will you be a Heart Walk & Run Hero with me?
