I’m forming a team of RRH Respiratory Therapists as well as family and friends for this year’s American Heart Association Heart Walk, and I would be honored if you would consider joining.
As you know, heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States and is something we encounter almost daily in our profession. In 2022 alone, heart disease accounted for nearly 24% of all U.S. deaths. Tragically, my own father was among the 701,443 lives lost that year to this often silent and devastating disease.
Given these numbers, it’s rare to find someone in our community who hasn’t been affected by heart disease in some way, whether through a parent, sibling, relative, friend, or coworker. Continued research, prevention, and treatment efforts are critical to reducing its impact on our families and the communities we serve
.
I hope you’ll consider joining me on Saturday, June 6, as part of the RRH Respiratory Therapy team for this year’s Heart Walk.
I know weekends are precious, and if you’re unable to attend, I hope you’ll consider sponsoring through a donation. Every contribution supports lifesaving research and prevention efforts and truly makes a difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
Thank you for considering joining me in this important cause.
Warm regards,
Kristine
