I'm raising money for the American Heart Association (AHA) as part of their Heart Walk/Run this June because heart disease and stroke have touched my life in deeply personal and professional ways.
Both my mom and grandmother have experienced strokes, making this cause incredibly close to my heart. Supporting the AHA is one way I can honor them-and take action to help reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease for myself, my family, and my community.
Professionally, I see the impact of stroke every day. As a Stroke Navigator nurse, I rely on the AHA's Get With The Guidelines program to guide evidence-based care for my patients. Their research, education, and advocacy directly shape how we deliver the best possible outcomes.
By fundraising for the AHA, I'm not only supporting the fight against heart disease and stroke, but also helping to drive the science, prevention, and community outreach that save lives every day.
Thank you for supporting me-and for helping to create a healthier future for all of us.
