I am One Year Post Heart Attack! I thank GOD every day for giving me the second chance to change my lifestyle. Heart disease runs in my family. It took my mom from me when I was 22. We have lost so many to heart disease and then it hit me. I thank GOD for the folks at the Cardiac Rehab Center on Ridgeway Ave. The 12 weeks of rehab were the jumpstart to a longer, healthier life. This traumatic event changed my life in so many ways. I am blessed for my village of people and continued support.
I walk because I know that with every step, I'm making a difference in someone's life. And when combined with a million other Heart Walk Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease. Will you be a Heart Walk Hero with me? Will you take a few hours and walk with me? Send this page to friends and family to raise funds with me?
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die. In most of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. But we can change this.
Cardiac arrests happen at work, in homes, on athletic fields and in neighborhoods everywhere, and the readiness of our community can be the difference between life and death.
It's time to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated, means more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
I Walk to Save Lives. Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
