My journey with the American Heart Walk began long before today. It started over 25 years ago when I became a cardiac nurse. I’ve walked hospital hallways beside patients whose hearts were fighting to keep beating. I’ve held hands during fear, celebrated recovery milestones, and comforted families during life-changing moments. Every journey reminded me that heart disease doesn’t just affect one person—it affects families, futures, and communities.
Today, I walk not as a nurse in scrubs, but as an advocate, honoring every patient who trusted me with their heart and to support research that helps ensure more heartbeats, more milestones, and more second chances.
This walk honors my patients, their families, and the future of heart care—because every heartbeat matters.
This walk represents hope—hope for stronger hearts, better outcomes, and healthier communities!
