America's Greatest Heart Run & Walk and the AHA are close to my heart; this will be my 28th year participating!!  Each year I walk in honor of the survivors who are dear to me, and in memory of the loved ones we've lost to heart disease. I started this walk when my friend Anne had a baby girl, born with a hole in her heart, she was the Heart Walk Red Cap Ambassador in 1999.  The next year my Mom had her first heart attack.  In July of 2022 my Dad had a heart attack followed by Triple Bypass surgery.  In 2023 my Mom had Triple Bypass surgery (with a pacemaker) after her third heart attack.  I'm very thankful to say Mom and Dad are both Survivors and doing well today!!
