This cause is deeply personal to me.

In 2011, I received a new heart valve. Then, in January 2026, I underwent a TAVR procedure to replace that valve. Both valves were made using pig tissue, so I often joke that I owe my current upright status to pigs!

Needless to say, I cannot look at bacon the same way anymore. I have to show a little respect!
