Hi Everyone!

Last year I was given the gift of life by an amazing donor and their family. What began as a routine surgery to repair an aneryusm in February 2025, turned into three open heart surgeries in 3 months. The third was a heart transplant to save my life. I was on the transplant list for one day. I received my heart on April 24, 2025. What happened was nothing short of a miracle. From Carol Whitney, the retired nurse that I met two years before my transplant, who walked beside me on this journey to my sister Mellyora, my boss Micheal Giuliani and my colleague Helena Duncan and friends Kenny Clark and Scott Bloom and my amazing Cardiologist Dr. Bonomo, all of these people, and so many more, were put in my life for "such a time as this". 

I do no know my donor or their family but they will forever be a part of me. I will honor and cherish the gift they gave me for the rest of my days. God brought us all together and God gave saved my life. 

I walk for my donor and their family. I walk for my dad who died from an aortic dissection when I was 16. I walk for those who cannot walk and those impacted by heart disease. I walk for life. I walk because it is a miracle I can.
