2026 Greater Hartford Heart Walk
Michelle's Mighty Heartbeats
The American Heart Association means so much to me because...
I lost my dad to heart related issues. He was in a motor cycle accident on his way home from Daytona. Someone rear-ended him at a light and knocked him off his Harley. He survived the fall, but was left with only 20% of his heart muscle working. Our lives changed when he came home and was a different person. He could barely walk up stairs and had to sell his sheet metal business at the age of 55 - not yet ready for retirement. He lived the best he could for almost a year before he passed in 2002.
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Join our team today or support by donating towards our fundraising goal.
