On December 7, 2025 I took myself to the emergency room after having several hours of chest pain that moved into my left arm and shoulder blade. Elevated levels of troponin confirmed that I was experiencing a cardiac event. An emergency heart catheterization revealed the cause: a SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) heart attack. Two months of reduced activity allowed the artery to heal, 36 sessions of cardiac rehab helped me to regain my strength both physically and mentally, and now I will lead my first team for the Heart Walk!
