I walk for my daughter. In September 2022 she was born with a very serious CHD; she has single ventricle double outlet dextracardia. This means she was essentially born with half a heart. At 3 months old Athena had her first open heart surgery and just this May at 3 years old she had her second. Luckily both surgeries went well and we are now being monitored closely by cardiology. There is no cure for Athena's condition only care that can help her live a fuller life. Athena is full of sass and makes our lives so much better everyday!
