I walk for Athena,  my granddaughter. In September 2022 she was born with a very serious Congenital Heart Defect (CHD); she has single ventricle double outlet dextracardia. This means she was essentially born with half a heart. At 3 months old, Athena had her first open heart surgery and in May of this year, she had her second surgury. Luckily both surguries went great and she is now a very active and spunky soon to be 4 year old. 

We walk to raise awareness for the 1 in 100 babies that are born with a CHD. We want to support continued research and advancements as there is no cure only treatments. Please consider donating as every small amount helps!
