Walking for My Dad!
March 14, 2017, was one of the scariest days of my life- and it had nothing to do with the blizzard that shut down New York.
It was the day my dad, the most caring, generous, and selfless person I know, had a heart attack.
I will forever be grateful that my mom and sister were there to get him medical attention quickly, and to all of the incredible doctors, nurses, and medical professionals who helped him recover. Every day since, I’ve been thankful that my dad is here with us and able to continue making memories with our family.
This year, on September 27th, I’ll be participating in my 7th Heart Walk at Jones Beach in celebration of my dad and all the other heart attack and heart disease survivors.
Heart disease continues to affect so many families, and I’m proud to walk in honor of my dad while supporting the important work of the American Heart Association.
Please consider making a donation to support my walk and the American Heart Association. Every contribution makes a difference!
Here’s to my dad, all survivors, and the families who stand beside them.
