In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
Cardiovascular disease is the #1 cause of death in the United States, and for me, this cause is personal. I lost both of my grandfathers to cardiovascular disease—one to a stroke and the other to a heart attack.
Nearly 9 out of 10 people who experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital do not survive. Immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival, which means an ordinary person nearby can make an extraordinary difference.
That is why I’m participating in the Heart Walk. Every walker who joins and every dollar donated helps support lifesaving research, CPR education, and efforts to prevent heart disease and stroke.
