In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
Once again, my AHA Heartwalk yearly fundraising appeal is coming your way. I will be walking locally on October 26th in loving memory of Harvey Soolman, beloved friend, my friend Em's mom, Janine Leonard, Flossy Soolman (Harvey's mom) and my uncle Kiley, who I lost back in August 1974, way too early from heart disease. I am also walking in loving memory of my sister, Margie Callahan, who suddenly passed away from a cardiac event in June of 2021, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen. I am walking for my cousin in law, Bill who is is doing well after significant heart issues. I know many of us have friends and family lost too soon to heart disease. I would appreciate any donation amount, and again, no pressure, if you are feeling overwhelmed with multiple donation requests from different organizations or charities that you support.I began walking back in 1991 when the walk was done regionally, and have only missed 2-3 times since, as this is a cause that is near and dear to me. With your help over the years, I have been able to raise thousands of dollars. I had to miss last year's event due to a leg fracture, but am back in form now.I think that many of you know that I an aortic valve replacement in May 2023, and because of research and innovation technologies, the replacement was able to be done via my femoral artery, so I did not have to have my chest cracked open, which would have been major surgery. It was amazing as I only had an overnight stay for the procedure. Anyway, I am fine and back to doing all my usual walking, swimming, yardwork, etc with no restrictions. I am feeling grateful and so blessed.I am attaching the URL code for those that would like to donate on-line.If you prefer to send a check, please make it out to AHA Heartwalk (Please do NOT make the check payable to me!)c/o me at36 Dudley St.Medford, Ma. 02155Thank you so much as always,Moe, Maureen and Cal
