It's that time of year for the Boston Heart Walk. This year is a bit more meaningful personally. On March 24th, 2026, we successfully completed Aortic Valve replacement open heart surgery and I became a heart valve disease survivor. It's about the village it takes to get through it successfully. Especially, my family and friends that helped me overcome the most challenging mental and physical hurdle of my life. Words can't express my appreciation to the world class surgeon Dr Tommaso Danesi and my care team at the Brigham Hospital Boston, I recognize how fortunate I am and I'm certainly grateful. It's about my children Italia, SJ and Evangelina that inspired me to walk further each day even though I was incredibly anxious. The pictures on this fundraiser page features my incredible wife, Dawn. She was and is always there, start to finish. It's no surprise, she's an incredible nurse. You also see my brother and sister that never left my side from check-in to ICU to recovery to going home. Thank you to everyone including my work family for their incredible support. Today, we are doing great, moving onward and upwards! With your help, I would like to raise $10,000 this year for my 3rd annual Boston Heart Walk. Every 34 seconds someone dies of heart disease or stroke and 9 out 10 people that have a heart attack outside of the hospital, don't survive. Those statistics are scary and we can do better. I truly appreciate any support! The Boston Walk is Saturday October 24th, 2026.
