2026 Boston Heart Walk
Hearts of LHS
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference. â¤ï¸
Hi, I’m Aditya. I’m 15 years old and a sophomore at Lexington High School.
In June 2025, I underwent open-heart surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital. Going through something like that at a young age changed my perspective on heart health and made me incredibly grateful for the amazing team of doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Boston Children’s who took care of me and helped me get back to being healthy and doing the things I love. I’m also grateful for the medical advances and research that make lifesaving heart care possible.
Today, I’m doing well - and I want to turn my experience into something positive for others. That’s why I started Hearts of LHS and joined the American Heart Association Heart Walk.
Heart disease can affect anyone, at any age. And when a cardiac emergency happens, the actions of the people around us can make all the difference. Nearly 9 out of 10 people who experience cardiac arrest outside a hospital don’t survive. More people knowing CPR, more lifesaving research, and continued advances in heart care can help change those odds.
That’s what Hearts of LHS is about.
I hope to bring together students, friends, families, teachers, and our Lexington community to walk, raise awareness, and support the work of the American Heart Association. Every walker who joins us and every dollar we raise can help fund research, expand CPR education, and create more lifesaving moments for people and families who need them.
For me, this walk is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of how far I’ve come, a way to give back in gratitude to the incredible people who helped me along the way, and an opportunity to help someone else get that same chance.
Please join Hearts of LHS, walk with us, support our team, or make a donation.
Extraordinary starts with all of us. Together, we can make a difference - one step, one heartbeat, and one life at a time!
