As an adult, my son was unexpectedly diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve, a congenital heart condition he had lived with his entire life. He has since undergone open-heart surgery and continues to thrive. We are grateful for the advances in cardiac care, research, and treatment that have made his journey possible.

That's why I'm participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk. The AHA supports research, education, and advocacy that help people with congenital heart conditions and heart disease live longer, healthier lives. By supporting this cause, we can help create even more hope for patients and families in the future.
