I walk today in loving memory of my late daughter, Tanieka A.H. Coley aka "Tee", who passed away at the tender age of 34 years old after suffering a massive heart attack. Losing her has changed our family forever, and not a day goes by that she is not deeply missed.
Tee was more than a daughter—she was a source of love, laughter, and strength to everyone who knew her. Her smile could brighten a room, and her kindness touched many lives. Although her time with us was far too short, her memory continues to inspire us every day.
Participating in the American Heart Walk is my way of honoring Tee's life and raising awareness about heart disease and cardiac events that impact so many families. I walk in the hope that increased education, research, and support will help save lives and spare other families from experiencing this kind of loss.
Today, every step I take is for Tee. I carry her memory in my heart, and I walk so that her legacy continues to make a difference in the lives of others. Let's get ready to walk 4 "Tee".
