My "Why"
My "why" is my dad, William "Bo" Butler.
On September 12, 2025, my family lost my dad unexpectedly to a sudden heart attack. He was only 61 years old, and in an instant, our lives changed forever.
My dad was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He had a quiet strength, a kind heart, and a way of making everyone around him feel welcome. He loved his family deeply, and no matter what was going on, we always knew we could count on him. Those are the lessons and love he left with me.
Losing him has been one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about him, miss his voice, or wish I could have just one more conversation or one more hug.
His passing became a reminder that heart disease can affect any family without warning. I'm walking with hope that one day fewer families will have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love too soon.
That's why I'm proudly supporting the American Heart Association. I'm walking in my dad's memory and raising funds to help advance lifesaving research, education, and awareness. My hope is that together we can help save lives, support families, and create a future where more people get the chance to make one more memory with the ones they love.
If you're able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to that goal and helps keep my dad's legacy alive.
Thank you for honoring my dad's memory and for walking alongside me in this journey.
