Aedan was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which means that his left ventricle never developed, and he lives with a three chambered heart.  Without surgical intervention immediately after he was born he would not have lived past one week.  By the age of two, Aedan had had three open heart surgeries and three cardiac catheterizations.  Today he is an awesome ten year old who enjoys baseball, skiing, swimming and golf.  

Thanks to the research and development funded by the American Heart Association, we have had the privilege and honor of watching Aedan grow up and grow into the amazing young man he is today.  Without it, we likely wouldn't have him with us.  It's that important.  Please help us to continue the mission and work of the American Heart Association so that we can help more kids just like Aedan.
