I am dedicating my fundraising this year to all of those scientists and researchers who have had challenges in getting funding to purse their dreams. What it takes is perseverance! My dear friend and colleague, Katalin Karikó, pursued her dream to use mRNA as a therapeutic. She found many challenges, but in the end, by being honest, sincere, hardworking and alway pursuing the truth wherever it led, she discovered the key finding that has enabled the creation of the BioNtech/Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines that have saved hundreds of thousands of lives worldwide.
Your contribution will directly help young researchers to gain access to funding to pursue their dreams and hopefully one day make a contribution to science and/or medicine that will improve the lives of our family and community members. Thank you!
