This started, because Peter Giovenco of Bergmann strong armed me into becoming a Board Member in 2019. Since then, I have been lucky to learn about the AHA mission, and people have shared incredible stories of sadness, triumph, and the ongoing battles they face with heart health. We have had our own scares in our family, but becuase of the AHA and URMC we are lucky that everyone is still here. When people not directly affected by Heart Health think about the AHA they think about the Mobile Stroke Unit or advertising during February's heart month. It is so much more. Annually the AHA National pumps between 3-5 million a year into local research. Of the funds raised for this event around $.81 cents on the dollar will go back into the Rochester Community. Support the AHA and help us take the next steps in Heart Health Research.
