I am a stroke survivor. On May 23, 2023 I suffered an ischemic stroke affecting the left side of my body. After 3 days spent in the hospital and 17 days in an acute rehab center, I went home. From there I completed 3 weeks of in-home treatment and am currently doing outpatient occupational and physical therapy.
I have set the goal to walk the entirety of this American Heart Association event taking place almost 1 year to the day that my stroke occurred. I have organized a walking team - Stroke of Luck - for anyone interested in joining me in Portland, Maine.
