Dad. Pop Pop. Joe. No matter what you call him, he's the reason we walk in the Heart Walk each year. He's our WHY.
In September of 2009, dad had a heart attack that almost killed him. He spent almost a month in the hospital with many months of recovery that followed. 10 years later in 2019, he had another scare but thankfully was caught in time to be treated.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research and technology that literally keeps hearts beating and helps people have longer, healthier lives. It also helps fund great technology like the pacemaker that lives next to his heart. It was his pacemaker report that allowed his doctor to recognize there was another issue in 2019.
Help us reach our goal and celebrate his recovery and continued health!
We're a relentless force! Now imagine how much stronger we'll be working as a team! Heart disease is still the no. 1 killer and stroke ranks no. 5 in our nation.
The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy, and inspiration. It's also an event where people work together to support one single goal - to create a world free of heart disease and stroke.
This year, the American Heart Association’s centennial is a celebration of the of the lifesaving achievements and shared vision for a bold second century that will exponentially advance heart and brain health.
