We Walk to Save Lives!
2024 Capital Region Heart Walk and Run
In Honor of Sean
Dr. Donovan was an Emergency and Emergency Medical Services physician. He was the Medical Director for the Schenectady Fire Department, the Medical Team Manager for the Office of Fire Prevention and Control’s Urban Search and Rescue Team, and a faculty member at the Albany Medical College EMS Fellowship. Sean was 42, taken from us too soon, a victim of coronary artery disease.
We walk to honor Sean and other loved ones we have lost. We'll be walking as a team for the health of our patients, our parents, our children, and our grandchildren. We walk to support the efforts of all who teach CPR, who learn CPR, and those who need CPR. We walk to support the bystanders, the call-takers, the police officers, the fire fighters, the EMS providers, and all the people that care for patients in the hospital as part of the chain of survival. We walk for the doctors and their colleagues, working to prevent heart disease, and treating it when it impacts their patients. We walk for the researchers…
The Heart Walk is an event where people work together to support one single goal - to create a world free of heart disease and stroke.
This year, the American Heart Association’s centennial is a celebration of the of the lifesaving achievements and shared vision for a bold second century that will exponentially advance heart and brain health. Join us now and walk to save lives.
