My mom is Why! Join Our Team!

February 2014 my mom received her LVAD. An LVAD is a Left Ventricular Assist Device, an electromechanical pump for assisting cardiac circulation. This is a pump used for patients who have reached end-stage heart failure.  It can be a bridge to transplant therapy.  The American Heart Association provided some of the research funding that helped develop the LVAD. I walk in the Heart Walk every year to celebrate another year that I get to spend with my mom. I know that the research that is being sponsored by the American Heart Association is saving lives because I have seen it with my own eyes. Please help me raise more valuable research money by sponsoring me in the Heart Walk or by joining me on Saturday, October 25, 2025 and walk for life. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
