William "Bo" Butler

On September 12, 2025, my family lost my dad unexpectedly to a sudden heart attack. He was only 61 years old, and our lives changed in an instant.

My dad was the person you could call when you needed something. If he didn't know how to fix it right away, he was going to figure it out. He used to always say, "Let me pull a hat trick," and somehow, he always did.

That's where the name Bo's Hat Trick comes from. It reminds me of who he was, how dependable he was, and how he always found a way to show up for the people he loved.

I'm walking because I miss my dad and because I wish we had more time. More regular days, more phone calls, more laughs, and more chances for me to say, "Dad, can you help me with something?"

I'm supporting the American Heart Association and raising funds in his memory because I want something good to come from something that has been so hard for my family. Every donation helps support research, education, and resources that can make a difference for someone else. If what we raise can help another person get more time with their family, then that means everything to me.

Bo's Hat Trick is more than the name of our team. It's a piece of my dad that I get to carry with me, and a way for all of us to pull a hat trick for him this time.
