Well, I was happy to see 2020 come to an end. It was quite a year! I lost my older sister Judy at the end of February, the pandemic hit in March, the Boilermaker was postponed until September and then it was cancelled and transitioned to a "Virtual Race". I suppose in the grand scheme of things, my year wasn't so bad compared to other people's. I am thankful that I still have my job with the Boilermaker and that Jan and I are enjoying good health, and as they say, "When you have your health, you have everything."
I celebrated my 68th birthday last year, which really isn't that old, but every time I think of that, I realize that I have out lived my father by three years. Heart Disease took him from us too soon. That is why I'm still participating in America's Greatest Heart Run & Walk, raising money to help in the fight against heart disease. I'm forming "Team Stasaitis" again to remember and honor the entire Stasaitis Family. In saying that, I hope you will consider supporting me in my efforts again this year to raise $7,500 so we can continue our life saving work.
Thank you for the great support that you have given me over the years. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Jim
