My Dad is Why!
Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
Every year I participate and raise money for the American Heart Association. AHA works towards raising money for research and technology developments in heart disease. They have several programs that teach people CPR, how to live heart healthy lifestyles, and stroke and heart attack warning signs/symptoms. Not only with educating the public on these matters, they also have several programs that take place in schools to help students of all ages learn how to live a heart healthy lifestyle.
This cause is something that has been very important to me for the past 25 years. My dad is a heart attack survivor, and has worked to educate those about heart disease since his first attack, 20+ years ago. Over the years, my dad has had other "heart events" and thanks to the ICD unit in his chest, he's survived every one. After watching my dad go through these, and watching him work so hard to keep his heart healthy, I have been reminded why this cause is so important. The research that AHA focuses on, helps scientists and doctors research and create the technology that my dad is able to have to keep his heart beating.
I'm not just walking. I'm Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
