We are helping to prevent stroke & lowering stroke risks by making it easier to live healthy. We are effectively treating stroke by helping healthcare providers deliver the right treatment quickly. Over 1,800 hospitals have adopted our stroke treatment guidelines into practice. And, we are beating stroke-- we have helped 20 states pass legislation for better stroke care, and we are continuing efforts in other states. ALL of these efforts have helped reduce stroke from the No. 3 cause of death in the U.S. to the No. 5 in just 5 years.
I am also raising money in honor of Grandpa Al who is living with diabetes. Diabetes significantly increases one's risk of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
