Heart disease is the number one killer worldwide. We all know someone battling, whether it’s high blood pressure, a survivor of a heart attack, or anything in between. Funds raised for the Syracuse Heart Walk stay right here in Syracuse, supporting local education, local research, and more.
For our family, our daughter is at risk for long QT syndrome, a by-product of her genetic disorder called Rett Syndrome. We travel every six months to her pediatric cardiologist in Rochester for an EKG to stay on top of issues before it potentially becomes very serious.
For all of us, we’re all at risk for heart disease. We need to educate and lift each other to lead healthier lives - for ourselves and our loved ones.
