This past year I experienced my first brush with challenges in maternal cardiovascular health when I developed gestation hypertension and severe pre-eclampsia on my way to welcoming my baby girl, Leora.
While I was fotunate enough to receive excellent care to keep me and my baby safe until she was ready to make her debut, and in the weeks that followed, not everyone is as lucky as I was.
I run because I know that with every step, I’m making a difference in someone’s life. And when combined with a million other Lawyers Have Heart Heroes across the nation, we have an even greater impact toward curing heart disease and stroke.
