Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
I am walking for so many people in my life that have suffered and continue to suffer from heart disease, this has affected both sides of my family and continues to affect my mothers side of the family the most. My mother, who passed on May 25, 2018 had Atrial Fibrillation, Congestive Heart Failure, Biventricular Heart Failure. Tricuspid Regurgitation, Coronary Artery Disease, Aortic Stenosis, and Cardiogenic shock which took her from us too soon. Heart Disease goes ignored and undiagnosed for many people and can lead to serious illness, disability, and death. It's ironic that a woman with a heart so big and generous was taken from us because of her heart. She touched so many lives, it was criminal to loose her so suddenly to such a cruel turn of cardiac events.
Unfortunately, stroke has affected us too. My father has had two strokes, and his aunt had strokes as well and sadly she is no longer here. Some days my father was still himself, some days there was a man that looked like my father but was lost in another world...
Then in 2022, during his first dialysis treatment, dad had a heart attack and we had a whole new battle ahead of us to find the right treatment for him. Sadly, in April of this year, we lost him to a combination of kidney and heart failure, the two can go hand in hand. Unfortunately his journey ended on April 22nd of this year. Heart and Kidney failure took him from us.
Join me in raising funds to help with research and resources for heart disease. It affects more people than you realize and it could even be you. Our goal we set was a meager one, there is no amount too large or too small, really, no amount too large. Please consider supporting us as we walk again, this time for a cause very near and dear to our hearts.
Thank you in advance for your support!
