He is why I am walking. If you know me, you likely know him – or of him. He was my first love. My high school sweetheart. My best friend in all ways. Who I thought was my forever. When he passed away suddenly in November 2018, not only was my world shaken forever, so were the lives of all who knew him and loved him. He was so full of life and love, funny, intuitive, generous, AMAZING and had, ironically, the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met.
You should know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in men, and up to 10% of heart attacks occur in men under the age of 45. 44 years old is much too young to be taken from a preventable disease. I will spend the rest of my forever doing my part whenever possible to help others don’t have to feel the devastation that this sudden loss brings.
If you are inclined to help, please join me in supporting the American Heart Association and their mission to spread the word and promote research and awareness of a disease that has had an enormous impact on not only my life, but our childrens’, our families’ and our friends’ lives, as well. Help me to ensure that with more research, more education and a little bit of God’s will, you may help spare someone’s life, and their family. <3
