He is why I started walking for this cause. Since his death in 2018, I made it my mission to carry on his memory by creating awareness around what is so many times a silent killer. Gratefully, since my involvement with the AHA, I've learned that there is so much they do to promote heart health such as funding research, providing education, and most especially sharing the message of living healthier lives with those who are most vulnerable and at risk.
But, still, 5 1/2 years later, there is still a missing piece in the lives of all who knew and loved Stacy. He was so full of life and love, funny, intuitive, generous, AMAZING and had, ironically, the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. So as long as I am able, this walk will be my tribute to his memory and his heart.
If you are inclined to help, please join me in supporting the American Heart Association and their mission to spread the word and promote research and awareness of a disease that has had an enormous impact on not only my life, but our childrens’, our families’ and our friends’ lives, as well. Help me to ensure that with more research, more education and a little bit of God’s will, you may help change someone's future <3
