Help me be a Heart Walk Hero!
29 years ago my grandfather needed a heart transplant. I can't imagine what my life would have been like growing up without him. Luckily, in 1990 he got one, and when he did, he made sure to take the best care of it. Walking, healthy eating, regular check ups and more became a part of his daily routine, all to make sure he was taking care of this gift. The AHA has impacted my life in ways that I didn't even know about before working here. Through research and investing in heart healthy lives, the AHA helped to give me and my family 27 years with my grandfather that we may not have gotten otherwise.
