Hello friends! I need you to help me be a Heart Walk Hero!
This is the sixth Heart Walk I have participated in, and my third year coaching a team for the American Heart Association. Just about everyone knows someone who has been affected by heart disease, stroke, or a congenital heart anomaly. Sadly I lost my father in 2019 who among other health complications needed a heart transplant. Two months before that I had another family member that survived his first heart attack, and within two weeks of that, another family member that suffered a stroke... He was not even fifty years old. 2019 is MY WHY; those events are the reason this walk is so important to me.
The Heart Walk is the American Heart Associations biggest fundraiser each year to raise money for research so that patients are able to receive the most up to date treatment for heart disease, stroke, pediatric heart conditions and congenital heart disorders, and also contribute to scientific advances; such as the development of the first artificial heart valve. The funds raised also help to provide published materials to the public on how to eat better for cardiovascular health, recognize the signs of a heart attack and encourage the discussion of critical health choices with your doctor.
When you donate to my Heart Walk campaign, you get something back that's priceless - satisfaction knowing your donation helped fund research that could help cure heart disease and stroke. Do your heart some good and please make a donation today!
