The American Heart Association is doing important work to help ensure everyone in the Roanoke valley has the opportunity to live longer and healthier lives. This year, I am proud to be Co-Chairing the 2024 Roanoke Regional Heart Walk with Melanie Fitzgerald. Together we are striving to help raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Why I am fundraising:
In March of 2000 my dad passed away suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 49 years old. That loss taught me that in just a quick second someone very precious to us can be taken by heart disease. Heart disease and stroke remain the number one and number five killer in our nation. Your action today will help fund innovative research for new treatments, provide programs and services for survivors and their families, and help more of our loved ones lower their risk.
If you are free on Saturday, October 12th, please come out and join us at the Heart Walk. The festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. at River’s Edge Park and the walk will start at 10 a.m.
Thank you for your time and for your support! I am confident that together we can help end cardiovascular disease and stroke!
