I walk today for all the survivors of stroke and heart disease, including myself, in honor of the Doctors who have continually provided excellent care and Heart Transplant Donors and receipients.
2015 was the year it all began with a Heart Attack due to a 99% blockage in my LAD. I was sent home from the ER and told it was just anxiety the day before my first Heart Attack. I hope research and funding helps to educate others that a Heart Attack can come in the form of a 27 year old female. My case would take so many twists and turns over the next 5 years, including a triple bypass, 2 strokes, 5 more heart attacks causing refractory angina and ischemic cardiomypathy. I was blessed and fortunate enough to receive the gift of a new heart after just 6 days on the waiting list. Its almost two years post transplant and my case has benefited greatly through the research of the AHA and I hope to continue to receive those benefits through technology in Cardiology and medicine as they continue to evolve.
Please help me now by donating. Because every step counts. And together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
