Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk started when my sister Kathy was told she would need a heart transplant. On July 3rd 2014 her family and friends sat for hours in the waiting room at Tufts in Boston as she went into surgery to receive a new heart. Kathy spent the better of 10 months living at Tufts waiting for this day, never really thinking about the impact it would have on her knowing that someone else had to lose a life in order for her to live on. The transplant itself was a success and Kathy was able after some time to come home for a short while. Other complications ending up putting Kathy back in the hospital and then to nursing facilities until we lost her on February 7, 2017. I will forever be grateful for the extended time I had with my sister. I will also forever be grateful for all that Tufts and the American Heart Association does to reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Please help me help someone else by donating today. Every dollar counts, $1.00 or $100.00 it all helps us make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
