I walk because life is not guaranteed and 8 1/2 years ago my life changed reminding me of this. My husband who was only 40 years old had a life altering heart attack. He pulled through and continues to fight for a life that will be healthy and fulfilled every day but it's a constant reminder that nothing in life is guaranteed and without fundraising ans research funding the doctors may not have been equipped to save him or insert the defibrillator he wears to ensure his heart is managed appropriately.
